OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Rev. Thomas T. Patterson Wound Healing Center recently received full re-accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) for its hyperbaric oxygen therapy program.
This accreditation is awarded to centers for "meeting or exceeding industry standards and best practices in hyperbaric treatment," CHMC said in a news release. The certification is good for three years.
The certification process ensures that the "highest levels of quality care are achieved," according to the release.
A team of experts from UHMS examined the center’s staffing and training, equipment, operation and maintenance, facility and patient safety, and standard of care, finding that the center was eligible for reaccreditation, CHMC said.
