CANTON -- Jeffrey R. Chiarenzelli has been appointed to the James Henry Chapin Professorship of Geology and Mineralogy at St. Lawrence University.
The Chapin Professorship was endowed in 1904 by Kate Lewis Chapin in memory of her husband, the Reverend James Henry Chapin, professor of geology from 1871 to 1892. The fund supports an exceptional member of the geology department.
