CANTON -- Ashleigh M. Sheridan, of Canton, studied in Ireland this summer, as a participant in St. Lawrence University's Summer-term program there.

A member of the Class of 2014 at St. Lawrence, Sheridan is a graduate of Hugh C. Williams Senior High School. Participants in the program took two courses, Nationalism, Peace, and Conflict; and Literature, Popular Memory and Place.

The courses included time spent in Dublin, Galway City, Connemara and the Aran Islands, as well as Belfast and Derry in Northern Ireland.
