Emily Rexford of Canton was named Green and Gold Female Athlete in December for her efforts with the Herkimer College women’s basketball team.
She averaged nine points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals for the Generals in three games.
Rexford scored her second most points in a game against Onondaga, going 6-for-13 from the field, ending the contest with 15 points. It was her second consecutive game with double digits.
“Emily joined us after missing the first four games of the season, helping the women's soccer team to a third place finish at nationals,” said women’s basketball Coach B.J. Gouger. “We are 3-2 in games that she has played in. She brings a presence to the floor both offensively and defensively, making us better all around.”
