CANTON -- Heron Hetzler. recently graduated from the Little River Community School,. Ceremonies were held at the school on May 12 with friends and family in attendance.
Heron Hetzler, the daughter of Beth McCarran of Potsdam and Paul Hetzler of Pierrepont, has attended Little River’s three-room schoolhouse for seven of the past nine years. Ms. Hetzler is a writer and an artist. She graduated with a GPA of 3.83.
Ms. Hetzler is looking forward to attending St. Lawrence University, in Canton, in the fall to study liberal arts. She was awarded a Presidential Scholarship from St. Lawrence and the Scholarship of Academic Excellence from the New York State Board of Regents.
