POTSDAM – Mandy Simmons, Patient Accounting Representative, has been named Canton-Potsdam Hospital's June Employee of the Month.

Simmons joined the CPH family in February 1998 in the field of patient registration.

She later accepted an opportunity to share her talents with the accounting department as a patient account representative.

Simmons' co-workers refer to her as respectful, considerate and a true role model.

She has a keen understanding of the hospital's billing and insurance process and takes the time to ensure she's answered all of her patient's questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.

"Mandy is gifted employee who excels in her responsibilities," said Karen Edwards, Director of Revenue Cycle. "She is amenable to taking on additional assignments in order to help a co-worker or the hospital as a whole and her abilities to reason and problem solve help her perform to her utmost potential," added Edwards.

Simmons was presented with an arrangement of flowers, Chamber gift certificates, pin, certificate of achievement, and a designated parking space for the month.
