Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) employees selected Tandy Ashley, administrative assistant to the vice president for finance; Carl Palmisano, operating room aide; and Doug Turner, information systems support technician II, as employees of the quarter. The three were honored by David Acker, president and CEO, coworkers, peers, and managers during a ceremony earlier this month.
Tandy Ashley joined CPH in the Accounts Payable/Payroll office in September of 1989. She later served as a Hospital accountant and in 2000 assumed her current position as Administrative Assistant to the VP for Finance. Ashley’s colleagues noted she welcomes every challenge with a smile and a willingness to help others. She is a positive influence and a reliable and credible resource.
Carl Palmisano joined CPH in 2010 as a Sterile Processing Technician. After a year’s time, he accepted a position of Operating Room Aide where he could more closely support the surgical team. Palmisano’s peers shared that no matter when or where they see Carl at work, he is always smiling and willing to help.
Doug Turner joined CPH in 2008 as a Phlebotomist in the laboratory. Within the past year, Turner joined the Information Systems department as a Support Technician (level II). Although Turner enjoyed his role in patient care, he is well-versed in the field of technology and an asset to CPH’s electronic resources. His coworkers shared that he is always accommodating, efficient, and a team leader.
