CANTON -- The Hugh C. Williams Sr. High school chapter of the National Honor Society has been active since 1931.
Each year the chapter sponsors several service projects for the school and community which in the last few years have included tutoring, collecting supplies for the animal shelter, assisting with school blood drives, and planting flowers in front of the school.
Members have also raised money for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign, and sponsored a holiday gift-wrapping service, in cooperation with Student Council, to raise money for Bear Packs, an on-site food pantry, for Canton Central students experiencing food insecurity.
