NORWOOD -- The Seaway Career and Technical Education Center announces Alexa Bush as the Potsdam Rotary Club Student of the Month for October 2018.
Alexa, the daughter of Ray and Heather Bush, is a student from the Norwood-Norfolk Central School District in Seaway Tech’s Automotive Technology Program.
The program is a two-year course in vehicle maintenance and repair consisting of theory and practical shop applications with a core of hands-on work that covers several aspects of automotive technology such as small gas engines, computerized car engines, paintless dent repair and body maintenance.
Upon completion of the program, Alexa will have the skills necessary to move into an entry level position in the workforce or further her education at the college level.
“Alexa always put her best foot forward. She strives for excellence in class, in shop and with the assigned tasks she is given. She goes above and beyond as a technician and as a coach to her peers. She has excellent attendance and grades. She is respectful to her peers and adults. She is level headed and will make an asset to any employer or college that she chooses,” said instructor Mr. Ells.
