Potsdam youth wins big at Horticultural Association contest

St. Lawrence County 4-H Shoots and Roots Club member Adam Romlein, 16, of Potsdam, is Grand National Champion of the Honors Division in the National Junior Horticultural Association Horticulture Contest. Adam, the son of Donald and Diane Romlein, beat out 200 other contestants at the NJHA Convention held in Williamsburg, Va. last fall. The Honors Division of the horticulture contest consists of identifying 125 plants, a written test and a judging section.
