Snowy Owl in Lisbon
Tuesday, November 14, 2017 - 5:35 pm

‘Yesterday afternoon my dad, Robert Zufall, spotted this large white snow owl nearly camouflaged on the white round bales on the edge of our field,’ David Zufall a photographer from Lisbon said. ‘After spotting the owl my dad ran and got me and had me bring my camera. We parked the ranger on one side of the field far enough that the owl was barley a speck in the distance. I then went on foot, tiptoeing across the field trying to blend into the dairy cows that were in the field at the time. I never could have dreamed of getting only 8-10 feet away from this gorgeous bird in the end. It was definitely one of the most special moments I've ever had encountering wild life in the North Country.’
