Recently, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center held a medication collection day where people could drop off left over or unused prescription medications. Claxton-Hepburn’s Director of Pharmacy, Greg Guimond, RPh, SUNY Albany School of Pharmacy Student, Chelsea Perrine, and Deputy Chris Duciewicz, from the St. Lawrence County Sherriff’s Department, were on hand to collect the medications. People dropping off medications were greeted at their car for easy drop off and drive off service. A total of 27 people dropped off medications and over 60 pounds were collected. After the collection was done, Deputy Duciewicz, took the medications to an incinerator in Fulton, N.Y., for disposal. Shown in the photo are Guimond, Perrine and Duciewicz.
