The second annual Lion’s Club Lumberjack Show and Woodsmen day will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Burt and Delberta Carr’s field on the Cline Road, Ogdensburg, just off Rt. 68 near Ruby’s Roadside Grill. Show organizer, Rhonda Roethel, says the Woodsmen’s Team from Paul Smith’s College will again be putting on three, one-hour shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. The team will compete in cross cut & bow sawing, chain saw racing, underhand ax chopping, speed splitting, axe throwing, pole climbing, and peavey log rolling. Along with these main events, you may want to try your hand at these challenges: a nail pounding contest for all ages, kids field races, and a women’s skillet tossing competition. Admission is $5 for Adults, $3 for kids 12 and under, and kids 5 and under are free.
