The St. Lawrence County Historians Group held their summer meeting at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association recently. The St. Lawrence County Historians Group is composed of municipally appointed historians, local museum staff and volunteers, and others interested in local history. The historians spent the day networking and learning from each other, as well as listening to Ron Semple’s presentation A Study in Green: The Irish in our Midst. The group’s fall meeting will be held in Waddington. The St. Lawrence County Historical Association is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday noon to 4 p.m., Friday noon to 8 p.m. Admission to the museum is free; admission to the archives is free for members and children, $2.50 for college students, and $5 for the general public. The St. Lawrence County Historical Association is located at 3 E. Main St., Canton.
