Oswegatchie River water levels also high

The Raquette River is not the only river in St. Lawrence County running at historically high levels due to snow melt off combined with lots of rain in recent weeks. According to Clint Stoner, a life-long resident of Rensselaer Falls who submitted this photo, the Oswegatchie River running through the village is about seven feet over its regular level. The water level “has been slowly rising all day so far,” he said Saturday. View slideshow of the flooded Raquette River between Colton and Norfolk.
