Like many others observing Memorial Day weekend, Master Sgt. Jake Corbine and Cpl. Neil Sheridan lay a wreath at the Veteran’s Memorial in the Canton Village Park. Jake Corbine served in the Army during the Korean War and was a prisoner of war for 32 months. Neil also served in the Army during the Korean War and is a brother-in-law to Jake. Along with other veterans, Corbine and Sheridan later placed a wreath at the grave of Jake's brother, George Corbine, in honor of George and all the deceased veterans. George Corbine served in World War II and passed away in 1975. Photo submitted by Lori Corbine Smith, Colton, daughter of George Corbine.
