Honeysuckle 'popping' in Canton
Thursday, May 12, 2011 - 6:20 am

Members of the Paws 4-H Club join Senior Extension Educator Steve VanderMark in the final tug on an invasive honeysuckle bush that was lifted easily by a special “honeysuckle popper” tool being held by a club member in the foreground. The field test of this method was part of an Earth Day 4-H Community Service Project by the club that will lead to demonstration plots at Cornell Cooperative Extension on how property owners can manage the spread of certain invasive plants such as exotic honeysuckles.
