WADDINGTON – Lil’ Anne & Hot Cayenne, the Northeast's most sought after Zydeco-Cajun music act, will return again to the Waddington Concert Series on Friday, July 13, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Take half a dozen groovemasters, add a spicy blend of rock ‘n’ roll, blues, and funk to the up-tempo Zydeco beat, and presto, you’ve got a dance groove that just won’t quit, said the band’s website.

Taking the Northeast Zydeco scene by storm, Lil’ Anne & Hot Cayenne, based in Ithaca, have been invited to play a variety of prestigious venues including the Rhythm and Roots Festival in Charlestown, R.I., The Great Connecticut Cajun/Zydeco Music & Arts Festival, and the renowned Saratoga Springs Dance Flurry. In addition, the band has been invited to play venues typically reserved for Louisiana Zydeco bands such as Johnny D’s in Sommerville, MA, La Belle Époque, NYC; the TK Club, Phila., PA and the Somebody Scream Dance Series, Baltimore, MD.

Lil’ Anne & Hot Cayenne has also appeared with and provided back-up to Willis Prudhomme and has been invited on stage with Zydeco Force, Sean Ardoin and Zydekool, Leroy Thomas and Roy Carrier.

More Waddington Concert Series performances are scheduled throughout the summer.

The free concerts are held on Fridays at Waddington's Island View Park Pavilion at the end of Main Street, rain or shine.
