MASSENA -- New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Officers (ECOs) and the Borderline Long Beards chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation are teaming up for a youth waterfowl and pheasant hunt in St. Lawrence County. Youth ages 12 to 15 are eligible for this free event.
A safety education day is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m. at the Massena Rod and Gun Club. The hunt will take place Saturday, Sept. 23.
Interested youth hunters must possess a New York State small game license and register with the Harvest Information Program (HIP). The event is absolutely free to participants and all equipment will be provided if necessary.
