POTSDAM -- Potsdam Youth Basketball Association will be signing up young players for the season 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 6 at A.A. Kingston Middle School, Lawrence Avenue.
Local boys and girls enrolled in grades K- 6 with an interest in basketball are eligible for the program; no prior experience is necessary.
Program costs vary by grade. For children entering grades 2-6, the cost is $45 for the first player and $20 for all additional players in the same family ($75 maximum per family). Kindergarten and first grade cost is $25 per child.
Mail-in registration is also available through Wednesday, Oct. 15, by sending applications to PYBA, PO Box 96, Potsdam, NY 13676.
A mandatory meeting for parents with children enrolled in the program will be held the first night of each group’s practice.
Practices start the week of Oct. 22 and run through Dec. 15. All fifth and sixth grade boys and girls in house league will play games in the PYBA Saturday Morning League starting Nov. 10. The season concludes Dec. 16 with their “Shoot Out” tournament at Maxcy Hall, SUNY Potsdam.
