POTSDAM -- An eight-week yoga class for pregnancy and childbirth preparation will begin March 27 at First Presbyterian Church, 42 Elm St. Pregnancy yoga students will learn how they can be more comfortable in their changing bodies as they prepare for a more confident and present childbirth experience.
Classes included yoga stretches and postures adapted to the needs of pregnant women in all three trimesters.
Each class includes breath work, toning, relaxation, visualization, and meditation.
The class is appropriate for women in all stages of pregnancy.
Classes will meet on Thursdays, March 27 through May 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The cost for eight weeks is $80 or $15 per class to drop in. Pregnancy Yoga is taught by Terry de la Vega, NP, Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor and Certified Yoga Nurse.
