POTSDAM -- Samantha Stinson will present her doctoral lecture recital "Yiddish Art Song: A Genre of its Own," on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. at Congregation Beth El, 81 Market St.
Her presentation introduces the genre of Yiddish art song and discusses its development in Russia and later in the United States. She will discuss the most celebrated composers of Yiddish music and will present a formal recital of Yiddish songs.
Admission is free and open to all.
