POTSDAM -- Local artist Sara E. Lynch will teach a class about how artists can better market their work using Instagram, which is a photo-sharing social media site.
The class will be on July 26 at 3:30 p.m. and costs $12.
Lynch runs an online business selling her ceramic sculptures and mixed media artwork.
The intermediate level class helps artists who already have experience with social media to use Instagram more effectively to promote their arts businesses. L
ynch will discuss how to gain more followers, different apps for editing photos from a smartphone, using hashtags effectively, and more.
Students are encouraged to bring a smartphone or consider purchasing one.
Lynch uses an Android based phone but the principles in this class may be adapted for iPhones or other phones which use Instagram.
