CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative Extension is hosting a workshop on emerging invasive forest pests Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES Education Center, 40 W. Main St.
Forest-land owners, arborists, foresters, other land managers, and concerned citizens will learn to identify, prevent, and manage new invasive pests which pose a threat to northern forests.
Topics include Asian lanternfly, hemlock woolly adelgid, and oak wilt.
Class includes a field session; please dress for the weather.
Registration will be at 8:30 a.m.
The cost is $10, which includes lunch and materials.
