OGDENSBURG -- A “Women’s Wellness Evening” will be held Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center from 4 until 8:30 p.m.
Admission is free. Register from 4 until 4:30 p.m.
There will be free lung cancer screenings will be held from in the radiology department for uninsured women who are age 50 and older.
Free breast cancer screenings will be offered at the Connection for Women for uninsured women 40 and older who are overdue for a screening or have never had one.
Wellness activities will take place in the Hess Auditorium from 4:30 until 7 p.m. Activities include acupuncture, massages, chiropractor, iridology, cholesterol, blood pressure and BMI screenings, food label and marketing information, tobacco cessation and a meet the provider with a pediatrician, OB/GYN and family practitioner.
Refreshments and hors d-oeuvres will be served.
Senator Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, who sponsored the event, will be in attendance from 7 until 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Himani Singh will discuss breast health issues from 7:30 until 8 p.m. followed by a question and answer session from 8 until 8:30 p.m.
