WINTHROP – Victor Winters is turning 90 and will celebrate with family and friends at the American Legion Post 514 Sept. 18.

The open house runs from 5 to 9 p.m.

Winters, who, as a staff sergeant, served with the military police in the Pacific during World War II, is looking forward to seeing family, friends, fellow worshippers, neighbors, American Legion and Reynolds colleagues, fellow golfers and bowlers, and tavern acquaintances there for a cup of soup, a sandwich, and a piece of cake.
