HOGANSBURG -- Wine lovers can get their fix at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort's wine tasting tour, set for Oct. 18 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the casino's Winter Ballroom.
The event features 11 North Country vintners.
The $25 admission includes a commemorative wine tasting glass, a wine carry bag and samples from the winerys.
There will be light hor d'oeuvres with each wine.
For those who may not feel comfortable driving home afterward, the casino is offering a $140 overnight package that covers the wine tour ticket and overnight accomodations.
Participating wine-makers include River Myst Winery of Ogdensburg, High Peaks Winery of Winthrop, Bella-Brooke Vineyard of Hammond, Thousand Islands Winery of Alexandria Bay, Coyote Moon Vineyards of Clayton, Otter Creek Winery of Philadelphia, Venditti Vineyards of Theresa, Amazing Grace Vineyard and Winery of Chazy, Tug Hill Vineyards of Lowville and The Cape Winery of Cape Vincent.
