POTSDAM – A Wheelchair Foundation event at SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall Oct. 2 has the goal of raising enough money for 40 wheelchairs for people who need them.
At 10 a.m., a four-person relay race/elimination competition begins, with a minimum $75 per team participation fee. For every $75 raised, the Wheelchair Foundation will match $75, providing $150 to purchase a wheelchair for a needy person somewhere in the world.
There will be gift certificates for the first 100 participants, prizes for the first-, second-, and third-place teams, and prizes for the team with the most spirit/best costume. There will also be prizes for the team with the most money raised.
All entries must be prepaid and pre-registered by Sept. 27.
