POTSDAM -- Isaac Snell of Isaac Jude Pottery will teach wheel thrown pottery this summer for ages 10 to 14 and age 14 to adult.

Anyone who has fewer than 20 hours of pottery experience is welcome to register.

Summer sessions meet Monday though Wednesdays July 21-23, Aug. 4-6, or August 18-20.

Classes for ages 10 to 14 meet from 3 to 5 p.m., and ages 14 to adults meet from 6 to 9 p.m.

Materials are included with class fees; financial assistance is available thanks to a grant from the Sweetgrass Foundation.

All classes meet at Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St, room 229.

These intro level classes take students through all of the steps of throwing on a wheel including wedging and centering clay on the wheel, throwing, trimming, and attaching handles.

The teacher glazes and fires several pieces of pottery per student which are ready to pick up a few weeks after classes finish.
