POTSDAM – Wheel thrown pottery classes will be held beginning on May 21 at Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St., room.
Sessions will be held on Wednesdays, May 21, 28, June 4 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Classes will be led by Isaac Snell of Isaac Jude Pottery and is open to anyone aged 14 and older who has fewer than 20 hours of pottery experience.
These intro level classes take students through all of the steps of throwing on a wheel including wedging and centering clay on the wheel, throwing, trimming, and attaching handles.
The teacher glazes and fires several pieces of pottery per student; which are ready to be picked up a few weeks after classes finish.
Materials are included with class fees; financial assistance is available thanks to a grant from the Sweetgrass Foundation.
