Thrift sale

NORFOLK: The Whistle Stop Thrift Store, Main Street next to the United Methodist Church, is selling men's and women's clothing buy one ($2) and receive two free clothing items. The store hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Winter solstice celebrated

CANTON: Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton, 3 1/2 Main St., will host a winter solstice celebration at 5:30 p.m., all are invited; ceremony will be followeed by a simple meal of bread and soup.
