MADRID: World is Your Oyster Mushroom: Simple Techniques For Growing Oyster Mushrooms In Your Home, scheduled by the Local Living Venture (LLV), 1-3 p.m., presented in partnership between Deep Root Mushroom Farm and the LLV; interested parties must register to receive the exact location of the event to be held in Madrid; presenter Mike Corse; one ready-to-grow mushroom kit is included in the workshop, additional kits are available for $15 each, by reservation; $32, $60 couple/family of two, $22 student; LocalLivingVenture@gmail.com, 315-347-4223.

Beauty and the Bead

NORWOOD: Local artist Kris Rozelle will offer a Beauty and the Bead class, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Norwood Public Library for kids ages 6 and older; kids will make one a glass bead necklace that can be gifted during the holidays; will learn how to choose beads, crimp, and create one necklace or bracelet; $15, pre-registration preferred: 315-353-6692.
