Didgeridoo Down Under

CANTON: Didgeridoo Down Under, 10:30 a.m., hosted by Canton Free Library at First Presbyterian Church on the Park, second show at Gouverneur Library at 1 p.m.; high-energy, Australia-themed show, with music, culture, science, comedy, character building, audience participation; didgeridoo, usually a hollow tree trunk, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years and is known for its otherworldly sound; interactive, educational, motivational, entertaining; learn about Aussie culture, animals and more; free all-ages program, no registration necessary, open to all; 315-386-3712 ext 4.

‘Pump Boys’

COLTON: “Pump Boys and Dinettes,” featuring Grasse River Players, 7 p.m., Colton-Pierrepont Central School cafeteria; show program and historical guide featuring a tour of businesses along Route 56 in 1955 available; “Diner food,” including hamburgers, hot dogs, and mini-pies for purchase from the Colt’s Pride Booster Club before and during the show; commemorative shirts featuring “Get Your Kicks on Route 56” artwork available from the Colton Historical Society; tickets cost $10 general public, $5 students, can be purchased at Colton Museum, TAUNY Center in Canton, Brick and Mortar in Potsdam as well as at the door; part of Colton Country Days Celebration; www.townofcolton.com.
