Summer movie day
MASSENA: “Beat the Heat Summer Movie Days,” every Tuesday in July and August at the admission-free Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch; hosted by The New York Power Authority; full day of free movies and popcorn; family-friendly films will be shown at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the visitors center’s air-conditioned auditorium; also hands-on exhibits at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center, which presents information on such themes as electricity generation and the St. Lawrence-FDR project, basics of electricity and uses of electricity, and panoramic view of the project’s power dam; 315-764-0226 ext. 716-6302, www.nypa.gov/vc/stlaw.htm.

Healing from Loss
