MALONE: 168th Franklin County Fair, county fairgrounds, 606 E. Main St.; carnival rides by Amusements of America, 4-H animal contests, carnival games, food and other attractions; Childrens Day, prices reduced on Midway until close; Senior Citizens Day, seniors admission 62 and older $2; admission for Disabled Community with $3 admission for counselors, guardians; 8 a.m. Pony & Horse Show (Outside Arena); 11 a.m. Cattle in Place, Holstein & Beef; 1 p.m. Harness Racing, NY Sire Stakes; 4:30 p.m. Miss Franklin County Fair Pageant 2018; 7 p.m. Home Town Parade (grandstand); 7:30 p.m. YMCA “Fr. Co. Has Talent” Finals (grandstand).

Power board meets

MASSENA: Northern meets New York Power Proceeds Allocation Board meets, 3 p.m., New York Power Authority’s St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project Visitors’ Center, 21 Hawkins Point Rd.; Proceeds Board is expected to make funding recommendations to apply net earnings of market-sale of unutilized hydropower from New York Power Authority’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project to support economic development in St. Lawrence County; open to the public; video streamed at www.nypa.gov/nnyppab.

Norwood Beach trip

NORWOOD: Norwood Beach is sponsoring a field trip to WonderWorks at Destiny USA (Syracuse); bus will leave parking lot next to the Norwood Police Department at 7 a.m. and return approximately 6:30 p.m.; cost is $40 per person, includes transportation, admission to WonderWorks, Laser Tag and Canyon Climb (Indoor Ropes Course); bring own bag lunch; open to anyone age 4 and older; children age 4-9 must be accompanied by a paying adult; trip will be chaperoned; stop by the Norwood Beach to sign up; 315-353-6783, mgarrow4@twcny.rr.com.
