Downtown STOMP

CANTON: Businesses and community of Canton, with various local organizations hosting fourth annual Downtown STOMP event; designed to build relationships between college students attending SUNY Canton and St. Lawrence University and local businesses; participating businesses offering incentives for students who stop by during business hours; TAUNY Center open for the event from 3-7 p.m. and will feature discounts on soap, jewelry, and upcycled and handmade winterwear and live old-time music from 3-5 p.m.; Canton Farmer’s Market will be open during the day at village green park and other activities are planned as well.

Food distribution

HOPKINTON: Hopkinton Food Pantry food distribution, town hall, 10-11:30 a.m.; clients should bring their own containers for food and clothing; more info: Georgia 315-328-4168 or Mary 315-328-4681.

Job fair

AKWESASNE: Job fair hosted by Tim Horton’s Café and Bake Shop, 865 State Route 37, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for the company’s Hogansburg and Massena shops; recruiting for all positions, including crew members, bakers and shift supervisors; on the spot hiring is expected; job seekers should come prepared for on-site interviews, pre-employment drug screening and background screenings; to view a list of openings and to apply, visit www.thetmg.com/workwithus.html.
