Credit prepare, repair

POTSDAM: Potsdam Public Library will host the class Credit Prepare and Repair, part of its Adulting 101 Series, on Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 6:30-8 p.m.; class aimed at newly independent, young adults and teaches essential skills to make life easier; topics to be covered include: differing financial institutions and why you would go to them, how to handle a checking account, difference between debit and credit, financial goal setting, budgeting and saving money, credit reports and credit scores, how to improve your credit score, identity theft and fraud; free and open to the public; future series topics will include healthy habits, household chemistry hacks, basic sewing and more.

AARP driver-safety

POTSDAM: Northern Insuring hosting AARP driver-safety program, 69 Market St.; suitable for all drivers, regardless of age; 4-7:30 p.m.; two-day class; those who complete receive insurance discount; register: 315-769-2404; $20 for AARP members, $25 for non-members.

Microsoft Word 2010
