CANTON -- Michael Hornung of MLS Direct Network will present "What You Need to Know About Credit Card Processing" at the spring Women's Business Bootcamp.
The event, hosted by the SUNY Canton Small Business Development Center (SBDC), takes place from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9.
Hornung has 16 years experience in credit card processing and will discuss what businesses need to know to understand the technology, including the recent transition to EMV Chip cards and Apple Pay.
The Women's Business Bootcamp Luncheon will feature a luncheon and the popular Mini Marketplace where attendees can showcase and sell their products or services. The event is sponsored by SUNY Canton, the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, the Reh Center for Entrepreneurship, the Workforce Development Institute and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The cost is $30 per person and pre-registration is required. The fee includes luncheon and keynote speaker, a table for the Mini Marketplace (on a space-available basis) and networking opportunities. To register, contact 386-7312 or sbdc@canton.edu.
