CANTON -- TAUNY, Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, will hold its annual Welcome to the North Country open house Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St.
This year’s open house will feature activities for all ages including paddle painting with John Miller, cider pressing, tractor and farm equipment demonstrations by the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum, live music, and more.
Guests can enjoy a tasty selection of food from local producers and farmers. Attendees will also have a chance to explore TAUNY’s latest exhibits and meet featured artist, Ola Aldous and 2016 North Country Heritage Award Recipient Rick Streeter.
There will also be a raffle to win a little "tin man," a unique piece of folk art made by Jim Hourihan to benefit TAUNY.
