POTSDAM -- Teachers and administrators at Potsdam High School invite all eighth graders and their parents to Welcome to High School Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17 in the high school gymnasium.
Some current seniors are planning this year’s event. The students in attendance will have a chance to ask questions of a student panel, view an “A Day in the Life” video, and participate in an extra-curricular fair. The idea behind these activities is the hope that they will alleviate some of the anxiety about getting lost in the high school next fall.
Parents will hear a presentation by Potsdam Police Department Lt. Mark Murray, and take a tour of the building.
Parents may call high school principal Joann Chambers at 265-2000, ext. 811 or email jchambers@potsdam.k12.ny.us, if they have questions.
