CANTON -- A five part web-based course aims at helping people determine the viability of opening a lodging business, with participants creating business plan outlines and earning a certificate by the end.
Weekly content will cover elements of daily operations, regulations, marketing and finances.
Each class member will be able to identify whether or not they have, or can gain the appropriate skills, financing and infrastructure to open a successful venture.
The course is open to anyone in St. Lawrence County, with $50 fee.
The course will be held online for 1.5 hours per week for five weeks; exact days and times will be determined by registrant availability, beginning the first week in April.
Participants need a computer with speaker and internet.
