POTSDAM – Local favorites The Waydown Wailers will perform the last show of the season in the Ives Park Concert Series Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.

The Wailers are a well-known band hailing from Canton. The group has performed their Americana tinged rock and roll at venues across Northern New York and has two albums to their credit, a 2013 debut album titled “State of the Union,” and their latest album “Empty Promises” on Woodstock Records.

The band, comprised of brothers Dave (lead guitar/vocals) and Christian Parker (guitar), Michael Scriminger (drums/percussion) and Connor Pelkey (bass backing vocals), play original roots rock, blues rock, and jam with a dash of outlaw country, a sound they label "Outlaw Dirty Blues Rock.”
