Watercolor, jewelry classes planned in Potsdam

POTSDAM – Three talented teachers will offer enriching arts classes for the St. Lawrence County Arts Council this September.

• Watercolor Workshop with Roberta Paccione, Saturday, Sept. 11, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Paccione will guide students in a creative meditation exercise and then lead them in an exploration of watercolor techniques as they create a painting. Adult students (18 and up) of all levels of experience are welcome. This class will focus on painting landscapes. Class fee: $28.

• Wire Jewelry Workshop with Mickey Champagne, Saturday, Sept. 11, 1:30-4 p.m. Learn to manipulate wire to create clasps, ear wires and other components. Class fee: $22, materials fee: $20. All tools and materials will be provided by the instructor but if you have jewelry tools, feel free to bring them.

• Watercolor Painting: Adirondack Fish with Ashlee M. Kniskern, Mondays, Sept. 20, Oct. 4 & 18, Nov. 1 & 15, 7-8 p.m. Learn basic watercolor and drawing techniques while painting realistic replicas of fish found in the lakes, rivers and streams of the Adirondacks. Class fee: $22 per class, materials fee: TBA.

Classes will be held at the SLC Arts Council's Crafts Studio on the second floor of Downtown Snell Hall in Potsdam.
