CANTON -- Bryan Thompson will speak on “Thomas B. Benedict, the Accidental Commander” as part of the War of 1812 lecture series Monday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
The talk will be hosted by the St. Lawrence County Historical Association at the Silas Wright House, 3 E. Main St. The talk is part of the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the war, much of which took place in St. Lawrence County.
