Waddington Summer Series begins with Donna Miller and guests June 29

WADDINGTON -- Donna Miller presents the opening show for the Waddington Summer Series June 29 at the Island Park Pavillion from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. with several special guest performers joining her on stage.

Miller’s singing career includes a three-year tour of Canada where she performed six shows a week.

Miller is featured on three CD’s produced by platinum recording artist Jimmy Philips. She has composed numerous children’s songs that can be viewed on Teacher Tube. Jimmy, Miller and her husband Bob Miller performed many live shows in the band Rhythm of the Night.

She also directed many past Waddington Homecoming Variety Shows, including Broadway on the River, Waddington Salutes Hee Haw, and Through the Years. In addition to performing, she currently hosts “That’s Entertainment” on WYBG 1050 radio where she reports on entertainers in the North Country every Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Performer, Dave MacMillan is a native of the town of Massena. His accompanist is Mary Amerill-Davis, Massena, a vocalist who plays keyboard, organ and piano. Mary started career at age 18 with a move to California where she played in Hollywood, Eureka, and Sacramento.

She returned to Massena appearing at numerous clubs in the US and Canada.

Veteran artists Vera Concilio and Larry Compeau have teamed their talents to create the unique duo, His and Hers.

They have an upcoming performance at the Remington Museum, July 7 featuring the Old West.

Concilio is originally from Tupper Lake. She graduated from Boston University with a Fine Arts degree and taught vocal music in Amsterdam.

Compeau is a former member of the North Country Fiddlers Association and a Serenity Studio recording artist. He has played numerous bluegrass festivals and other venues.

Frank Bateman, Waddington, is a multi-talented musician who plays a variety of instruments.

Once again the show features some bright and upcoming stars including Riley and Calieigh Burke, daughters of Eric and Michelle, Waddington. Riley performed at last year’s show and is joined by her little sister Caliegh this year.

Sydney Hosmer, daughter of Dale and Robin, Ogdensburg, will provide an encore performance.

Danielle Hough daughter of Scott and Michelle Hough, Waddington is 12 years old and new to the entertainment business.

Morgan Sabre, daughter of Aaron and Jills Sabre, Madrid, is blessed with natural talent and stage presence.

Cassidy and Gabriella Scott, daughters of Mark and Kelly Scott, Waddington are among our shining stars. Gabriella returns after a solid performance at last year’s concert and is joined this year by her talented, older sister Cassidy.
