WADDINGTON -- Artworks Crêperie, Waddington, will host local artist, Susan Robinson Nov. 30 at its holiday open house.

Robinson is a self-taught painter whose works include high-realism paintings of the natural world, many of which have been published in journals and books.

Since 1987, Robinson has voluntarily written over 90 articles on artists who illustrate for Rocks & Minerals Magazine.

In addition, she has self-published a small guidebook for the identification of beach stones, entitled “Is This an Agate?” She has also illustrated five other books, including “R is for Raccoon – A Northwoods Alphabet Book,” “Sneakers Visits the Quincy Mine Steam Hoist,” and “Sneaker’s Thanksgiving.”

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Robinson will be on-hand to present her work, share her experiences, and answer questions. Prior to her arrival, Artworks will host a free Children’s Crafts Session, from 10 a.m. to noon, highlighting Christmas cards, coloring, and letters to Santa.

Artworks Crêperie is a café that specializes in savory and sweet crêpes, but also features a menu of traditional breakfast items, soup, Panini sandwiches and dinner entrées, along with locally roasted coffee, cappuccino, and espresso.
