POTSDAM -- A “Nutritious Delicious” cooking seminar will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 22 that will focus on the topic of vegetarian and vegan eating: Healthy Ways to Eat a Plant-based Diet.
The workshop will educate participants on how to eat a well-balanced diet consisting of only vegetarian or vegan cuisine. Various concepts and approaches to vegetarianism will be discussed, including raw diets, macrobiotic precepts and more. Workshop presenters Paula Youmell and Rajiv Narula will share cooking tips and various techniques.
Local author, health educator and Counselor, Paula Youmell (RN, MS, CHC) states: "Healthy eating and healthy lifestyle choices are positive, preventive medicine. Knowledge of nutritional information is key to your choices.
A brief shopping tour for healthy eating may accompany the seminar.
Pre-reservations are required prior to Aug. 15. Once registered you will receive the exact location of this workshop in Potsdam.
A suggested donation of $15 is requested from those who are able, $5 for students.
