CANTON -- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold the annual NRCS Local Work Group meeting for Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. The meeting will take place Dec. 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the USDA Service Cetner, 1942 Old Dekalb Rd.
Meetings are open to the public.
The group will focus on identifying agricultural and natural resource issues existing in your community and providing information and feedback to direct NRCS programs. Participants can be agricultural producers; owners of nonindustrial private forestland; representatives of agricultural and environmental organizations; and representatives of governmental agencies carrying out environmental, agricultural, or natural resource conservation programs and activities.
