OGDENSBURG -- The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Ogdensburg Flotilla will host the “About Boating Safely” from May through August.
This course is required for anyone 14 years old and older who operates a personal watercraft.
This course is also required for young adults ages 10 to 18 to operate a boat alone, and anyone born on or after May 1, 1996 to operate a motorized boat unsupervised.
Auxiliary teach the classes.
Certificates awarded at the end of the second night are valid in New York state and all other states.
Cost is $35 per person. Family rates are available.
Registration required: John Gardner, 393-6488, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• May 3 and 4 at the Ogdensburg Mall in the United Helpers Mosaic Center, 100 Ford St., 5 to 9 p.m.
• May 24 and 25 at the Ogdensburg Mall in the United Helpers Mosaic Center, 5 to 9 p.m.
• June 14 and 15 at the Ogdensburg Mall in the United Helpers Mosaic Center, 5 to 9 p.m.
• July 12 and 13 at the St. John’s Center, Morristown, 5 to 9 p.m.
• Aug. 2 and 3 at Hammond Central School, 5 to 9 p.m.
