OGDENSBURG – After a successful first year in Massena, the Upstate Comic Con will be held in Ogdensburg March 27 and 28 at the Lockwood Arena.

Events kickoff March 27 with doors opening at 4 p.m. for VIP pass holders. Each person who holds a VIP pass will receive one free door prize ticket. The first 50 people in the door will receive a free comic book.

General admission opens at 5 p.m. Events include at Zombie Outbreak at 5:05 p.m., an art contest at 5:10 p.m.an Injustice Tournament at 7 p.m., a Magic the Gathering Tournament at 7:05 p.m., and a closing ceremony at 9:50 p.m.

Several panelists will also be at the event, including Ogdensburg movie reviewer Brandon Wright at 5:15 p.m., event organizer Elijah Winfrey at 6:15 p.m., Maggie Gebo at 7:10 p.m., and Jesse Neal at 8:15 to 8:45 p.m..

Events continue Saturday morning with VIP access at 11 a.m. General admission will open at noon. The first 20 people in the door will receive a special prize. Each ticket purchased on Saturday will also enter you for a door prize drawing.

A Men in Black: Initiation starts at 12:05 p.m. along with a Pokemon 3DS tournament. Panelist Maggie Gebo, will speak at 12:15 p.m.

At 1 p.m. kids games will be hosted by the Ogdensburg Public Library.

A Magic the Gathering Tournament will be held at 2 p.m. Cosplay will also begin at this time.

At 2:15 p.m. Zombie Outbreak will start, followed by a Yugi-oh Tournament at 3:05 p.m. A Pokemon tournament will be held at 3:45 p.m.

At 4:40 p.m. A Wii Mario Cart Tournament will be held.

Panelist and local artist Dave Ferry will speak at 5:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m. a Dragon Ball Z tournament will be held.

A closing ceremony will be held at 9:30 p.m.
